When you are planning a destination wedding in Spain there are a lot of great options when it comes to choosing a venue. There are so many beautiful locations in Andalucia that it can be hard to know where to begin; so first you may wish to narrow it down to a wedding style - a beach wedding, say, or a private villa wedding...
Amongst my favourite hotels with great beach clubs in the area of Marbella are the Puente Romano and the Marbella Club, Los Monteros and the Villa Padierna Palace. These are five star hotels that provide that luxury movie star feeling for their clients, and the option to wed and dance the night away right on the sea front.
If it's more your style to go off the beaten track, you may prefer a country villa with a private ceremony in the garden, or a spanish finca with a marquee and private catering. In spain private villas are called Cortijos and are available to rent by the day or the week, and fincas are plots of land.
Ask your wedding planner which fincas and cortijos they have for you, as this can be perfect for the kind of wedding you have been dreaming of.
